ELL Thing #5 RSS and Newsreaders

I've had a Google Reader account for about a year now and I find it super helpful. My feeds are organized into 4 categories: friends, work, ELL and other.
A lot of my friends don't update their blogs very often. Google Reader lets me quickly see if they have any new posts, without wasting time visiting each blog over-and-over. Without a reader, I'd probably not bother with these blogs.
The largest of my categories is work, where I have all the librarian and library-related feeds that I try to follow. Right now I follow about 25 work-related blogs, and there are 145 new posts in that category since I last checked it on Friday. Obviously, I don't read every one of these posts. But I do scan their titles and mark things I want to go back to later.
From the way I use my Google Reader, I've learned that it's really important to give your blog posts a descriptive title. If there is no title or a generic title like "Something New," I just ignore that post.
