Being Wired or Being Tired: Ten Ways to Cope with Information Overload
From the Librarian in Black, Sarah Houghton-Jan, herself. Of course, I need to schedule in some time to really read this article on how to better schedule your time...
Heather, thanks for the interesting article. Before I read it, I checked to see how long it was. It ran 15 pages. I thought, "Geez, do I have time to read this whole thing? Will I be able to remember the salient points when I'm finished?" You see, that's also part of the problem with information overload--you read something (or hear it or see it), and it's filed away somewhere that you can't access because there's too much other stuff jammed in there. I'm not talking about your document files or those quaint manila folders one can still find in Home Depot. I'm talking about the filing system in my brain!
